Description

Because of their lines, the Joyce chair and armchair strike a perfect balance between design and classicism and make a clear reference to tradition. The Joyce chair stands out in particular for its metal structure, which supports the shell and is transformed into an interesting aesthetic pattern that characterises the back of the seat. The enveloping hull is made from cast metal and polyurethane while the base is made of metal and painted with epoxy powder in a series of elegant finishes. The Joyce armchair and chair are fully removable and cover all the leathers and fabrics in the extensive Flexform collection with equal ease.

FLEXFORM

Flexform's history is focused on family. Flexform, which is now run by the third generation of its founding family, was created in Brianza; a furniture-producing region in northern Italy. The unique "Made in Italy" movement was launched there in the 1960s. The region was home to a number of small craft workshops that worked with wood and metal and upholstered sofas from the beginning of the 20th century. And where the great masters of Italian design studied, at the School of Architecture in nearby Milan. Intuition led Flexform to collaborate with some of the greatest designers of the time.
