After the famous Grace chair, here comes its sister Sophie, designed by Emmanuel Gallina for Poliform. While its elegant silhouette is similar to that of Grace, the Sophie chair offers a bouncy seat with generous dimensions. Shown here is one model, but it is also available with armrests. The design detail of the armrests delicately enhances the concept of hospitality, in contrast to the fine lines of the structure. Emmanuel GALLINA

To define his work as a designer, Emmanuel Gallina likes to refer to Constantin Brancusi's quote "simplicity as resolved complexity". Elegance, clarity and simplicity are the key words that best characterise the work of Emmanuel Gallina. Her creative ethos is as much about authenticity as it is about consistency in each of her projects. For him, attention to detail is a constant reality in terms of line, form and functionality.A graduate of the E.N.A.D in Limoges and the I.A.V in Orléans, he decided to move to Milan to further his training at the Politecnico, where he obtained a Master's degree in design and management. He then worked for 7 years with Antonio Citterio in Milan on projects for some of the biggest names in international design. Now Emmanuel Gallina works for his own agency where he responds to numerous projects mainly between Italy and France, opening collaborations with resolutely contemporary international brands such as Poliform, Cartier, Panasonic, Accor, Ampm La Redoute, Burov, Ethimo, Toulemonde Bochart, Manade, Colé, ACRE made in amazonia, etc...Since 2010, he has been guiding and advising various companies on marketing and identity strategies linked to design, as art director.
