Decorative Objects RESTING BEAR Blue VITRA

Produced by Vitra, Resting Animals is the result of a research project by Front focusing on the close link between humans and figurative objects. The design duo asked randomly selected people which objects they felt were the most precious and emotionally significant in their lives. The majority of respondents chose animal figures because they felt they could identify with their personality, characteristics or history. This preference has been transposed into a group of representations of Resting Animals, whose postures exude calm and tranquillity. The largest of them is a knitting-covered bear that can be used as a stool or an ottoman. Vitra's Resting Bear not only introduces nature into the home, but also, above and beyond its decorative role, conveys through its peaceful presence a feeling of deep satisfaction and camaraderie.
