This magnificent
design coffee table, by an unknown author, was discovered on a market in Parma, Italy. The simplicity of its lines in no way detracts from the intriguing and complex nature of this assembly of 3 pieces of wood, and immediately brings to mind the ribbon of
Moebius. Created in 1858 by the German mathematician Auguste Ferdinand
Moebius, this endless ribbon has been illustrated many times in the works of Echer, among others. A reminiscence of the past now edited by Brazilian house
Objekto, the
table Moebius is a classic of
design, a blend of rhythmic shapes and obvious functionality.
Objekto produces this
coffee table whose sober shapes and materials make it adaptable to very different interiors.
