The
LTR, Low Table Rod Base, was designed in 1950 by the design couple
Charles and Ray Eames as a small occasional coffee table allowing many variations and used in different forms in their own home, the
Eames House. Published by
Vitra, many of these tables can still be found there today, arranged separately or grouped together, decorated with objects from the
Eames collection or simply acting as a shelf next to an armchair and sofa. The
LTR coffee table is now part of the Vitra Design Museum collection. The laminate top is available in black or white and the complex base has two U-shaped galvanised steel rods with crosspieces that provide the stability required for their use. A
