Description
Echino is the result of the first collaboration between designer Sebastian Herkner and the Zanotta brand. This collection of small tables is distinguished by its column-shaped legs made of blown glass and its slim top in metal or mirror. Coloured glass gives the table a precious character, while the tabletop seems to float above the transparent legs. Both sculptural and lightweight, Echino blends easily into any interior style. The Echino collection by Zanotta comes in two sizes and several finishes, making it possible to create highly personal compositions with several tables.

Sebastian HERKNER
Born in Germany in 1981, Sebastian Herkner studied Product Design at the University of Arts and Design in Offenbach, graduating in 2007. He founded his own eponymous studio in 2006, also in the same city, specialising in object and furniture design. Following an internship at Stella McCartney during his studies, he developed a real sensitivity to colours, materials and textures. "There is a sensibility and identity to my work that emphasises function, material and detail." Sebastian Herkner also works on interior architecture projects and museum exhibitions. His many collaborations testify to his talent, including ClassiCon with the famous Bell table, Moroso, Pulpo, Cappellini, Gubi, And Tradition, La Chance, Zanotta and Thonet. His curiosity for different cultures is reflected in his creations. He combines traditional craftsmanship with new technologies to achieve a certain balance. Winner of numerous awards, he has been named "Designer of the Year" by the Maison & Objet show in 2019.

ZANOTTA
Founded in 1954, Zanotta is a leader in contemporary Italian furniture. Zanotta designer furniture is known for its ability to combine cutting-edge technology and design to create diverse collections. An impeccable finish, a sharp selection of materials and exemplary quality form the foundations of its international reputation. A number of collaborations enabled Zanotta to create products that went on to become design classics, such as the Mezzadro stool by the Castiglioni brothers and the Lama armchair designed by couple Ludovica and Roberto Palomba. Each piece by the Zanotta brand exudes unique energy and brings a touch of humour and poetic charm to your interior.
