Description

Designed by Rodolfo Dordoni for Minotti, West is a sofa system that allows multiple configurations, both creative and more conventional. Its morphology is characterised by the play between different facets that animates and interrupts the cubist style of the sofa. A truly surprising product, the furniture making up the West system breaks compositional patterns not only by creating stylistic points of interest but also by interrupting the continuous effect of the fabric covering as it visually blurs the volume on the back. In order to guarantee maximum comfort, each element of the system is made with high-quality goose feather padding. The cushions are embellished with a piping that outlines the profile and is characterised by an aluminium strip with slightly rounded edges that skims the floor. The aesthetic marriage of the two versions of the West sofa (with saddle leather backrest or, more traditionally, with upholstered backrest and armrests) gives rise to original configurations and unusual combinations of materials and colours from the Minotti range.
