Designed in 1947, the Chair C-Chairis one of the best-known pieces by Marcel Gascoin. Reissued by Gubi, the chair represents not only the aesthetic and practical power of Gascoin's designs, but also the social conscience he demonstrated throughout post-war France. The C-Chair was originally created out of necessity to fit the new dimensions of houses built at the end of the Second World War, where Gascoin filled the lack of space by creating simple, functional furniture.
