Designed by Angelo Mangiarotti, Eros is a collection of marble tables that came into being following research into assemblies that require no mechanisms or hardware. In the case of the tables Eros, the solution involves a gravity fit between the top and the vertical support, achieved thanks to the frustoconical section of the leg that easily accommodates the horizontal element, locking it in the established position, while the weight of the material increases the strength and stability of the entire structure. This system is available in a wide range of table shapes and sizes, each with its own specific connection point. The elegant design of the open slots around the perimeters of the tops is determined by the elimination of parts that are not essential to the stability and strength of the table. Mangiarotti's Eros table is a real innovation from a construction point of view.
In 2009, the Benedini brothers acquired the production rights to the majority of designer Angelo Mangiarotti's work. This marked the birth of Agapecasa, a brand dedicated to the reissuing of original pieces from the Mangiarotti Collection. All projects produced by Agapecasa are based on Mangiarotti's designs and rooted in studies of the original models. Each piece, conceived from the 1950s onward, has been thoroughly analyzed from a technical and constructive perspective, then reinterpreted to meet the evolving needs of our time and comply with today’s standards of quality, durability, and safety.
