Designed specifically for the Club Culturel project of the same name in La Chaux-de-Fonds, the table Club 44 has never gone into production until now; with the exception of a small number made for the Club Suisse in the heart of the country's watchmaking quarter. The table Club 44 is characterised by a three-piece construction in which each element fully expresses its characteristics and poetry: the massively stable conical volume of the concrete base, the graphic surface of the marble top, the technical steel structure that elegantly unites the various elements. They all contribute to the emblematic presence of the table, which takes up the recurring themes of Mangiarotti's work.
In 2009, the Benedini brothers acquired the production rights to the majority of designer Angelo Mangiarotti's work. This marked the birth of Agapecasa, a brand dedicated to the reissuing of original pieces from the Mangiarotti Collection. All projects produced by Agapecasa are based on Mangiarotti's designs and rooted in studies of the original models. Each piece, conceived from the 1950s onward, has been thoroughly analyzed from a technical and constructive perspective, then reinterpreted to meet the evolving needs of our time and comply with today’s standards of quality, durability, and safety.
