Designed in 1947, the C-Chair is one of the best-known pieces by Marcel Gascoin. Reissued by Gubi, the chaise represents not only the aesthetic and practical power of Gascoin's designs, but also the social conscience he displayed throughout post-war France. The C-Chair Cannage was originally created out of necessity to fit the new dimensions of houses built at the end of the Second World War, where Gascoin filled the lack of space by creating simple, functional furniture.
