Description

The Whale cushion is part of the Zoo collection, designed by Ionna Vautrin for the EO brand, a cheerful and playful series of oversized plush toys. The Zoo collection includes three animals: the toucan, the panda and the whale. Each animal represents the elements: air, earth and water. Ionna Vautrin designed the Zoo collection in homage to the Kavdrat Hallingdal fabric, designed by designer Nanna Ditzel. Both graphic and endearing, the Zoo animals will quickly be adopted by the whole family.

Ionna VAUTRIN

Born in France in 1979, Ionna Vautrin studied design in Nantes, graduating in 2002. Since then, Ionna Vautrin has worked with some of the biggest names on the French and international design scene, including the Bouroullec brothers. The success of her creations was immediate, enabling her to work for some of the best-known brands, including Foscarini, for whom she creates lighting fixtures, as well as the French publisher Moustache, for whom she creates pure, elegant design accessories for the home. Among her creations are the Ô collection of vases and baskets and the Baobab table, full of charm and poetry for the bedroom. In 2011, Ionna Vautrin opened her own studio after winning the Grand Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris.

EO

EO (Element Optimal) is a Danish company based in Copenhagen founded in 2012 by Nicole Vitner Servé, an architect and designer, and Tor Servé, an expert in the world of Scandinavian design. Their philosophy is to create and manufacture pieces in harmony with Danish traditions and craftsmanship, while showcasing talented designers from all over the world. Pieces are original, high-quality, aesthetic and functional all at once. EO's Bambi Chair - a poetic children's chair in the shape of a deer - has already achieved popularity and recognition, while EO's Balloon Mirror turns heads thanks to its playful and sleek edge.
