Description

Avec ses proportions douces mais généreuses, la table d’appoint Tung joue avec une série de contrastes. Le designer britannique John Astbury voulait créer une petite table empreinte d’une sensation de force monolithique. Le résultat est Tung, une table d'appoint guéridon compacte signée And Tradition, soutenue par trois pieds galbés qui évoquent la présence architecturale des colonnes anciennes. Pendant le processus de création, Astbury a cherché à traduire des éléments volumineux et lourds en une expression plus légère et douce. Les pieds du guéridon Tung JA3 en forme de cylindre sont devenus incurvés et la surface brillante réfléchissant la lumière ajoute une touche d’élégance. Tandis que ses proportions lui prêtent une sensation de grandeur sculpturale, la table Tung And Tradition a été réduite pour s’intégrer dans les plus petits espaces.
