The suspension Vipp 526 is a luminaire designed for the dining room. This suspension lamp Vipp has a perforated shade and a matt glass diffuser for a pleasant diffusion of light. The Vipp luminaires are designed to be fitted with a replaceable bulb, such as an LED, and therefore offer long-term functionality. The height of the suspension Vipp 526 is easily adjustable. This makes it easy to adapt to a wide range of environments and modes of use.
The story of Vipp began in 1939, in the small Danish town of Randers, when Marie asked her husband Holger Nielsen to create a trash bin for her new hair salon. Holger, a skilled craftsman with a keen sense of aesthetics, wanted to impress his wife and thus put all his talent into creating a pedal bin that was both functional and elegant. The bin, which he named Vipp, was never intended to be sold. However, some of Marie's clients were so impressed by its functionality that they ordered it for their husbands' medical offices and dental clinics.
