Description

Delicate paper birds on their perches - that's the essence of the Perch collection, designed by Umut Yamac and published by MOOOI. Each of the Perch luminaires presents a different aspect of this charming design reduced to the essential: a sophisticated form that envelops optimal function. All the subtlety of Perch is included in the balance of a fine gilded metal structure, which links the base or canopy of the lamp to the diffusers, hidden in the silhouette of the birds. The Perch luminaires emit a soft, warm light, ideal for illuminating any interior and adding a particularly refined decor.

Marcel Wanders became known within the renowned group of designers, Droog Design. In 2001, he founded the company Moooi, which means "beautiful" in Dutch. The Moooi collection features fanciful and offbeat style, which is sometimes even provocative, and as such produces extraordinary, head-turning pieces. From the Little Bold candlestick to the Chess coffee table, the avant-garde design surprises and the industrial objects fuse reverie with the unusual. Marcel Wanders also collaborates with internationally-renowned designers such as Ross Lovegrove, Studio Job and Ron Gilad.
