The
Kandinsky suspension lamp from
Pholc is inspired by the abstract paintings of the artist of the same name, created when he was at the Bauhaus school in the 1920s. A sphere and a stem play the main characters in the composition of this lamp. The delicate balance of the two elements evokes a dramatic sense of weightlessness and precision, but also of fragility.
The customised light source is shaped and fitted transparently into the glass sphere. Emitting its glow from the centre of the sphere, the lamp can be fitted with a dimmer to create the desired ambience in the space.
