Description

Created by Italian designer Paola Navone, the Kiki lamp is published by Martinelli Luce. This small table lamp is specially designed to light up outdoor spaces. Its portable white polyethylene diffuser contains a black rubber and resin base and transforms into a lantern when combined with a coloured silicone handle. Kiki enhances your exteriors with multiple combinations, alone or with others. Hanging as a garland Kiki fully reveals the Japanese inspiration from which it springs; placed on a table its light becomes more subtle, so it can delicately illuminate an outdoor setting. The Kiki lamp by Martinelli Luce perfectly enhances, terraces, pergolas, and garden by illuminating them with pretty plays of light.

Paola NAVONE

Born in Turin and Milanese by adoption Paola Navone is an architect, designer, art director and interior designer. She also enjoys supervising exhibitions and events. A 1973 graduate of Turin Polytechnic, Paola Navone joined the prestigious Italian group Alchimia in 1979, where she worked with Ettore Sottsass and Andrea Branzi. Between 1985 and 1988, Paola Navone worked as a consultant for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, which operated in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. Authentic, dreamy and eclectic, Paola Navone combines the colours of the traditional East she loves, with the tastes and forms of a West rich in tradition, open, and on the move. In 1983, Paola Navone received the famous Osaka International Design Award. Today, Paola Navone is artistic director of two companies, Abet Laminati and Gervasoni, and continues to create products for publishers such as Driade, Molteni, or the outdoor furniture brand Emu, for whom she creates the Ivy collection, among other things. Paola Navone has notably directed the creation of Suspension Brass for Gervasoni.

Created in 1980 by Elio Martinelli, Martinelli Luce designs and manufactures lighting systems with innovative design both in terms of shape and technology. The Martinelli Luce luminaires are inspired by nature and geometry, and are primarily designed to be functional. Among its most famous creations, the Pipistrello lamp Martinelli Luce, created by Gae Aulenti, and displayed in the world’s greatest galleries and museums, is one of the icons of design. Since its creation, Martinelli Luce has continued to innovate by introducing new technologies for products characterized by essential design.
