Designed in 1972 by Mario Bellini, the Le Mura project represents the manifesto of radical design that ran through the Italian 70s. The design of the Le Mura sofa was the answer to questions that were not only aesthetic and ergonomic, but also social. The result is a project of inexhaustible power, still relevant after fifty years. The theme of modularity is central, a theme already expressed by the name chosen for this sofa system: just like the large stones that made up the imposing Roman walls, the seating elements can be assembled to create infinite compositions. In this way, the Le Mura sofa lends itself equally well to small spaces and large rooms, without ever losing its style. Tacchini is now reissuing this classic, respecting the original design and highlighting its vocation for comfort.
