Description
The Locus Solus chair is an unpublished re-edition by Exteta and Jacquemus of the model created in 1964 by Italian designer Gae Aulenti. This outdoor chair blends perfectly with the other elements of the Locus Solus collection and offers timeless elegance to your outdoor space. The structure of the outdoor chair Locus Solus is made of stainless tubular steel powder-coated in beige. This process guarantees both durability and weather resistance, making this piece an ideal choice for outdoor environments. The Locus Solus chair, the result of a collaboration between Exteta and Jacquemus, embodies the successful alliance between the timeless design of Gae Aulenti and the contemporary creativity contributed by Simon Porte Jacquemus through the creation of the upholstery fabrics: beige and yellow Como stripes. Thisreissueof the Locus Solus chair offers not only exceptional functionality, but also a colourful, bright and refined aesthetic that will enrich your outdoor space with a touch of modernity and elegance.
Born in Italy in 1927, Gaetana Aulenti (known as Gae Aulenti) graduated in architecture in 1954 from the Milan Polytechnic, where she later taught. She designs furniture and lighting, and is involved in the interior design of numerous hotels and museums, including the Musée d'Orsay in Paris, the Centre Georges Pompidou, and in Barcelona, where she refurbished the Palacio Nacional de Montjuic as the Meseo de l'Arte Catalana. An architect of international renown in the 1980s, Gae Aulenti also works as an editor and graphic designer for Casabella Conitunuita and teaches in schools around the world. She exhibited at the Milan Triennale, where she won numerous prizes. Her work is as varied and comprehensive as his personality. She excelled in all aspects of design, and in 1987 was awarded the Légion d'Honneur by François Mitterrand. One of its most famous works is the Pipistrello lamp for Martinelli Luce, considered a design classic, which takes pride of place in many galleries around the world with its particularly original bat-like shape that diffuses a soft, warm light.

JACQUEMUS & EXTETA
Jacquemus and Exteta have come together in a unique collaboration to reissue the famous Locus Solus outdoor furniture collection by Gae Aulenti. This tribute to innovation in furniture design is characterized by sculptural and organic shapes, and takes form in an exclusive collection called "Objets." At the heart of this collection, we find outdoor furniture pieces such as a chair, tables, a chaise lounge, and even a sunbed, all dressed in sunny colors reflecting the vibrant identity of the Jacquemus brand. This reissue of the Locus Solus collection, designed by Jacquemus x Exteta, offers a fresh interpretation of the multiple influences of French designer Simon Porte Jacquemus.
