designed by Antonio Citterio for the B&B Italia brand, Noonu is a sofa system that allows for multiple compositions. Taking its name from an atoll in the Maldives, Noonu is designed as a space of pure relaxation. The Noonu collection combines generous proportions with great flexibility. The recessed supporting structure of the seat is barely visible, giving the impression that the sofa is floating above the ground. The seats are deep, with a large one-piece seat cushion for extreme comfort. The sloping backrest has been designed to accommodate the cushions, which can be arranged in different ways. A cylindrical armrest, linked to the aluminium frame by a sophisticated strap, can be used as an armrest or headrest. It can be placed between the seats or removed completely, depending on how the sofa is used. The Noonu sofa comprises four basic elements: in addition to the square and rectangular elements, B&B Italia offers a "piano" module, which creates a welcoming curve at the back, and a "voile" module, which provides a generous rounded volume at the front.
