Vipp523 is a versatile application to place in an entrance hall, kitchen, bedroom or living room. It has an adjustable arm for different uses, close to a sofa or above a mirror. The Vipp523 wall light has been developed from the original applicationVipp. The flexible arm of this luminaire swivels both horizontally and vertically for optimum functionality, while being space-saving.
The story of Vipp began in 1939, in the small Danish town of Randers, when Marie asked her husband Holger Nielsen to create a trash bin for her new hair salon. Holger, a skilled craftsman with a keen sense of aesthetics, wanted to impress his wife and thus put all his talent into creating a pedal bin that was both functional and elegant. The bin, which he named Vipp, was never intended to be sold. However, some of Marie's clients were so impressed by its functionality that they ordered it for their husbands' medical offices and dental clinics.
