The Applique Measure by Josua Roter for Ingo Maurer transposes an everyday object into a graphic and functional luminaire. This wall light combines the functionality of a tape measure with the illumination of a light strip. The lamp is made from the elastic sheet metal of a tape measure. The rear of the concave surface has a strip of light running the full length of the surface. The whole unit is fixed to the wall with a transparent bracket. The unique functionality of the Measure Ingo Maurer wall light allows the user to gently move the strip up and down, transforming the light from a thin strip of light into an open indirect light source. So you can choose between two lighting moods.
Ingo Maurer was an ambitious German designer who founded his own lighting company in 1963. One of his first creations developed in 1966, Bulb, was an instant succes which saw the lamp featured at the MoMA in New York. Creations by the designer and his team resemble bright works of art that bring a poetic touch to your interior. Each of Ingo Maurer's designs transforms light into art: the Lucellino table lamp with its winged light bulb ensures sweet dreams in bedrooms, while the Zettel pendant light sets the tone in hallways.
